Does registering a company automatically bring BOI incentives?
BOI investment promotion requires a project application and assessment; company registration or a business name alone is insufficient. First clarify the actual activities, investment, technology or production processes, location, financing and staffing plan, then check the applicable promotion category.
What remains to be done after approval?
Approval, acceptance of approval and application for the promotion certificate are separate stages. Read the approval conditions, prepare the certificate documents and manage response and supplementary-document deadlines. Receiving an approval notification does not mean that all benefits are immediately available for use.
Are the incentives on every certificate the same?
Tax and non-tax benefits depend on the applicable policy and the specific certificate. An exemption period for one project category should not be described as a uniform benefit for all BOI businesses. Machinery, raw materials and foreign personnel also require their respective applicable procedures.
How does THAIHOUSING help move the project forward?
THAIHOUSING helps organise project conditions, prepare the application, respond to requests for further information and coordinate certificate and post-approval matters. Before a consultation, provide a business description, investment and staffing plans, the proposed location and implementation timetable.
How can the project be explained clearly before the first discussion?
Prepare a project description identifying the customers, products or services delivered, work to be performed in Thailand, and how people, equipment and funding fit together. Manufacturing projects can include process diagrams and equipment lists; service projects can include service workflows, role allocation and sample business contracts. List unresolved matters separately so that inconsistencies in the plan can be identified before applying.
Who within the business should support the application?
Appoint a coordinating contact. The business lead should explain actual operations, finance staff should provide investment and funding information, and HR should provide staffing plans. THAIHOUSING uses these materials to organise the application and supplementary requirements and identify decisions the business needs to make. Retaining submitted versions and subsequent change records allows post-approval management to use the same project information.
